iPad 3 Case Stands Up.

One of our Wonderful Clients in New York City wanted to use her iPad for Presentations...we came up with this arrangement and she tells us it Works Like a Charm. The Strap works with the Closure Snaps to give you Two Standing Angles.

Folks are just plain lovin our Guitars lately...Here's a nice Gibson Melody Maker with a Sweet Angel on the back and lots of Lotus flowers all around..60's Style Sunburst finish and Laced up tight.

BILLY GIBBONS DIGS HIDECORE

Our friends sent us a shot of the one and only Billy Gibbons digging a Fender Telecaster we did for them. It's nice to see him checking us out again..we did some Leather on  his 32 Ford while we were doing work with SoCal Speedshop years ago.

TIME TO CATCH UP

Can't believe this is the first post for 2012!  We had a great Xmas Season..The iPad cases were/are a hit. Pictures above are of a huge Jewelry Case with Spanish Dungeon Weave.. fully lined with calf and suede..measured about two feet across by 18 inches front to back and 10 inches deep with two pull out compartments. The Bike seat we did for Brother Jeff a custom builder here in SoCal who's still getting the job done..nice two textured, fully laced.. black..simple. Got plenty of pix of recent work...will be posting more soon.

BASS W/CASE

Lordy, Lordy I do like this one...We hand tooled a trippy cover for a Peavey Foundation Bass and then constructed a beautiful Traveling case to go along with it. Hand tooled Leather exterior with a padded interior lined with black calfskin and velvet.

Our friend Gabe's been busy...first the bike (did the seat) in this month's Biker mag..and the book on the Heathens...next up..we're all waiting for the documentary film.

JUST IN CASE

Here are a couple shots of our latest travel case...Fully tooled with leather trim and corner guards with Brass hardware. Interior lined in Black Lamb.  Also a shot of one of the displays of our leather work in Maxfield, our favorite store, in Los Angeles. Center stage is a 6 foot tall, all leather room divider with 3 dimensional skulls and crosses.

HUMIDOR

We just got back from a trip to Los Angeles.  Dropped off some new pieces at Maxfield including this humidor. We had a great trip catching up with friends like Mitchell at King Baby and Brother Gabe..finally got a look at his Heathens bike.                                       

ALL HALLOWS' EVE

Photos are from a Los Angeles Times article on "Macabre LA" a couple Halloweens back. First one is of a coffin with 3 dimensional Skull and skeleton, fully tooled and quite comfortable. Second is of a box with a Raven and Skulls tooled on the lid.

Two pictures of a guitar we did to help Brother Gabe commemorate his movie "Asphalt Gods".  Along that same vein an original, early sixties poster by Gut Turk...hand colored, fresh from a telephone pole in the Haight....Party On!

The Hermle 340-020 movement just arrived, what a beautiful piece of machinery. Here's a picture of the last clock we made with a similar movement. Time to start working on a new one.

AROUND THE SHOP

We're busy working on new pieces for our private clients for Xmas and some pieces for Maxfield in Los Angeles..will have pix soon . Here's a picture of our skull buckle in silver and on a seat. Esquire Soho Penthouse

Here's a picture of the "Chopper Chair" in the music studio of the Esquire Soho Penthouse. The story is in the January issue. The chair's designer Gene Gordon contacted us to do the leather work after seeing some of our pieces in Maxfield Los Angeles.
